Quentin Chamard-Bois nait au début des années 80 entre le post punk et la gloire affichée du hip hop. Un séjour au Mexique dans les années 2000 est le déclenchement d’une révolution intellectuelle et artistique. Il crée photos et vidéos en lien avec le monde du skate-board. Son retour sur Paris va le confronter au milieu de la mode et de la publicité et faire évoluer sa pratique vers la maîtrise de la lumière. Lauréat du concours Photo Talent Academy, il réalise la couverture de PHOTO en juillet-Août 2017. Dès lors, il s’engage dans un parcours qui questionne sa pratique professionnelle en prenant distance et recul d’avec les premiers émois (de David LACHAPELLE à Miles ALDRIDGE), retrouvant en chemin d’autre déclencheurs (de Elena BROTHERUS à Erwin BLUMENFELD). En personnalisant son point de vue narratif, il va s’opposer progressivement à l’esthétique réductrice de la femme-pub et imposer la violence des chairs crues. En jouant avec le hasard maîtrisé des multi-expositions et des filtres, les paysages offrent à QCB, la possibilité d’un dialogue avec une nature refuge. En superposant sa pratique de la peinture (encres sur papier) à celle du photographe qui déforme, agrandie et transforme, il devrait se glisser très vite dans la peau d’un nouvel artiste.
